I just came across The Golden Compass movie website. The Golden Compass is the American name of a book called The Northern Lights .The guy who changed the name was the same person who changed Philosopher’s Stone to Sorcerers Stone. Both of these title changes were ridiculous and completely unnecessary. It just causes more confusion. But anyway. They’re making The Golden Compass into a movie (which is going to make UK, Aussie etc. fans completely confused unless they change the name of the movie).
The site is a typical annoying movie website. They have a trailer on there and so far the movie looks really bad. It’s already obvious from the few seconds of screen time the main character got she’s not a very good actor (then again she is a child) and the music pissed me off a lot. I’m disappointed but I’m not surprised.
